The basics

What is IV nutrient therapy?

IV nutrient therapy delivers fluids, vitamins, minerals and amino acids directly into a vein through a small IV line, instead of by mouth.

IV therapy isn’t right for everyone, and it isn’t a substitute for care from your own doctor. Before your first drip, we go over your health history, allergies and medications to decide whether it’s appropriate for you.
Your visit

What to expect

  1. 1Health historyA [physician/NP/PA — to be confirmed] reviews your health history, allergies and medications, and helps you choose from the menu.
  2. 2Getting startedA licensed [RN — to be confirmed] places a small IV line, usually in your arm.
  3. 3RelaxYou sit back while the drip runs. Most drips take about [XX] minutes.
  4. 4AfterwardsWe remove the IV and place a small bandage. Most people go back to their day.
Ingredients

What’s in the drips

  • Myers’ cocktail — a blend of magnesium, calcium, B vitamins and vitamin C. [Confirm the clinic’s formula]
  • Vitamin C — a water-soluble vitamin and antioxidant.
  • Taurine — an amino acid.
  • Vitamin B12 — a vitamin the body uses to make red blood cells and DNA.
  • Glutathione — an antioxidant made of three amino acids: glycine, cysteine and glutamic acid.
  • NAD+ — a coenzyme the body uses in energy metabolism.
  • Toradol (ketorolac) — a prescription nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It isn’t suitable for everyone, so we review your health history and medications first.
